For the remainder of the month of June and for the first two weeks in July this series is covering the topic of grace. I look forward to all we will learn and I think it is important for us to also celebrate God's grace in our lives. Every Sunday during this series, we will have a special post celebration of grace, please join in and share with us how God's grace has impacted you. Here it goes. . . Sit back, relax, and bask in the promise and assurance of grace.

John 1: 14-18
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, "This was he of whom I said, ' He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.'') And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known."
Grace is given and yet we must be receptive. We cannot artificially create grace or attempt to satisfy it within our own effort. Grace is a gift, it is a force, it is a power that comes and radically transforms who we are. In brokeness grace offers comfort, in times of trial grace offers freedom, in the midst of great battle grace sets us free. You see the greatest battles I face, I don't know about you are against myself. The greatest enemy ends up being that part of me that still seeks what cannot satisfy, still holds onto empty air. So what does grace do? It fills, it overcomes, it sweeps over the mess of our lives to create a beautiful piece of work. So today may it sink into each of us, may it dwell deep, and may Christ be glorified.
