Bible Verses: Christ's Birth

Since this is the week of Christmas I wanted to focus on verses that for-tell or discuss Christ's birth. There is one in Luke that comes to mind when thinking about the birth of Christ and many of the first few books of the New Testament recall the birth of Christ and the events leading up to that birth.

The birth is a miracle and a long awaited promise fulfilled, the promise of a Savior to cleanse the sins of all. So during the busy days ahead may each of us take the time to read over some of these verses and let them take root into our hearts. For His birth means so much. So in celebration of the birth of our Savior this Christmas and always:

Luke 2:9
"And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "

If you have any verses or thoughts you would like to share regarding the birth of Christ, please do. Also if you would like to share how your family remembers Christ's birth now, or throughout the year also please share. Hope your holidays are full of the joy and hope found in Christ alone.
