Bible Verses: Matthew

This week we will return to Matthew and focus on Jesus' teaching regarding being anxious. Next week, we will continue this same passage regarding anxiety. We will continue in Matthew next month, and we will focus on the teaching of Christ. May God continue to speak through His word to each of us, and may we be transformed.

*Bible Verses is not an exhaustive study and each reader should seek the Lord alone for revelation and translation.

Matthew 6: 25-27
"Therefore, I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you
will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you
will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than
clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor
gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you
not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can
add a single hour to his span of life?"

These verses are very convicting and this is an area of my struggle.
Anxiety/Stress is a daily struggle, and seeking the Lord's will and timing is
as well. Through this struggle, I have discovered that in order to enjoy and fully
appreciate each day we must leave stress and worry behind, otherwise precious time
is lost.

As Christ says, we do not control everything and we can not fix every problem; I believe that leaving stress behind is a matter of trust. This is a process of knowing and depending on Christ
not ourselves to solve life's problems and resting in assurance knowing that he has a plan for
each of our lives.

Let us all give our cares, worries, and stress away today. Let's let go and rest in the arms of our Savior.
