This week we will continue with Matthew and finish up the beatitudes. May God continue to speak to us through His word. Next week, we will cover the teaching of Christ in the aspect of judging others. Here we go. . .
*Bible Verses is not an exhaustive study and each reader should seek the Holy Spirit alone for revelation and translation.
Matthew 5: 6-11
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds
of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward
is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
All of these things reveal areas I am weak in. These are truths that I need to be reminded of each and every day. May all of us hunger and thirst for righteousness, His truth and not our own, or the one the world deems as great. May each of us seek peace and strive to offer it to others. May our hearts be heavily burdened, may my heart be heavily burdened, to follow Christ. To live out the beatitudes each day. For truly when I am weak, He is strong. May we run to Him and seek refuge from the storms of life and may these words be written on our hearts.
