This week we will start Matthew in the Bible Verses series, we will focus on the sermons/ministry of Jesus. We will continue in Matthew until May when we move on to 1st John. I am looking forward to all that God has in store for us in the coming weeks. We will start in the Beatitudes and remain there this week and next. May He change each of our hearts and our lives. Let's get started. . .
*Bible Verses is not an exhaustive study and each reader should seek the Lord alone for revelation and translation.
Matthew 5: 2-6
"And he opened his mouth and taught them,
saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall
be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the
earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for
righteousness, for they will be satisfied. "
Blessed. We are blessed because the Holy Spirit moves and works in our midst. We are blessed because we have salvation. This passage brings me to my knees. There are so many changes that need to be made in my heart and my life. He is there in the midst of the broken pieces that I deem righteousness, he challanges my conception of truth, justice, forgiveness. I pray that each of us, myself included, can truly experience that even when we have lost it all, we are blessed. When we come to the end of our energy, time, resources, emotions we are blessed because He is always with us and His mercy never ends. So wherever you are today know that the blessings are found in the midst of the greatest storms of life; Love, Joy, Peace, Hope.
