Time. A word that marks our days. It is interesting to me how much of our lives are wrapped up in time and scheduling. In Ecclesiastes there is a specific passage discussing Time. This week Bible Verses will focus on the passage and also on the concept of time itself. Please Share your thoughts.
May God speak to each of us through His word and may He change our hearts.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to breakdown, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
This passage is very moving and I believe the Holy Spirit speaks to each of us differently regarding our own lives and spiritual journey. A few thoughts I had regarding the passage were seeing the passage as a spiritual journey. I think it is interesting for example, that "a time to seek" is paired with "a time to lose" I think that is revealing. It is true in terms of our spiritual journey, because at times we seek and then at times we must lose something or leave a part of ourselves behind. Also "a time to tear" and "a time to sew" is another part that reminded me of a spiritual journey. As we walk with the Lord he will tear certain things away from us and yet he will bind us closer to Himself. "War and Peace," could be concerning spiritual warfare. This is just a few thoughts I had regarding the passage and is in no means correct or absolute, for only the Holy Spirit and the Word speak absolute truth.
