For the next three weeks the Bible Verses series will focus on The Song of Solomon. This book of the Bible is rich with poetry and love. It tells a story, records a journey, of a couple. As we dig into the book of Song of Solomon I challenge myself to analyze my own relationship with God and with my husband. May God open our eyes, and the walls of our, at times solid hearts, and mold us into the disciple he has for us to be.
* Note Bible Verses is not a comprehensive study and each reader is encouraged to read the book of the Bible in its entirety and to seek the Holy Spirit regarding the passage.
The Song of Solomon 1:15-17
He
"Behold, you are beautiful, my love;
behold, you are beautiful;
your eyes are as doves.
She
Behold, you are beautiful, my beloved,
truly delightful.
Our couch is green;
the beams of our house are cedar;
our rafters are pine."
*Note- The following is the author's thoughts or observations, all readers are encouraged to pray and seek answers from the Holy Spirit.
This passage really moves me and causes me to analyze my own at times rough and guarded heart. This passage is adorned with words of love, admiration, and stability. There is a beautiful pattern between the man and the woman and they both adore each other. They echo the comfort they feel and they hold nothing back. This is something I long to do as well in my relationship with God and with my husband. May God help each of us take down the walls that bar us from deep relationships and may he soften our hearts.
