The final part of our trip was spent in Austin and New Braunfels. Friday morning we ate breakfast in Fredricksberg and headed to Schlitterbaun a large water park in New Braunfels. We spent the day there and it was a lot of fun. We headed down many tube shoots and even took one into the river. That evening we ate dinner at a local restaurant outdoors and headed to a hotel in Austin. Saturday morning we got ready and headed to downtown Austin to tour the capital building there. It was fascinating, Texas history is really interesting. So much of the buildings design shares a rich history with the state. It was fun. We took some pictures and then we headed home.
Overall the trip was one of the best we have ever been on. It was so relaxing and fun. We enjoyed being so close to home because we had less travel time and more time to enjoy the journey. :)
