Jared and I celebrated our first Christmas today. We enjoyed family time with my mom eating, opening gifts, doing a puzzle together. This morning we woke up and celebrated just the two of us, and the cat and we opened gifts together. Tonight we will finally get to slow down and relax a little since this week has been so hectic. My mom made each of us a scrapbook and that was a very treasured gift. She spent a lot of time and effort and framed our past with pictures and stickers. It was one of my favorite gifts from any Christmas. Jared also gave me a wonderful card that is priceless. I think that is what the holiday is about not just gifts, but sharing your love with those around you. It is a gift that keeps on giving. Merry Christmas to all and lets never forget that each day can be cherished and celebrated as a gift from God above.
