*On the Morning of Christ's Nativity(John Milton)
Excerpt
"That glorious Form, that Light unsufferable,
And that far-beaming blaze of Majesty
Wherewith he wont at Heaven's high council
To sit the midst of Trinal Unity,
He laid aside; and, here with us to be,
Forsook the courts of everlasting day,
And chose with us a darksome house of mortal clay. . .
"Yea, Truth and Justice then
Will down return to men,
Orbed in a rainbow; and, like glories wearing,
Mercy will sit between
Throned in celestial sheen,
With radiant feet the tissued clouds down steering;
And Heaven, as at some festival,
Will open wide the gates of her high palace hall.
But wisest Fate says No;
This must not yet be so;
The Babe yet lies in smiling infancy
That on the bitter cross
Must redeem our loss;
So both himself and us to glorify:
Ye first, to those ychained in sleep
The wakeful trump of doom must thunder through the deep;"
*The Christmas Star
Explanation for the star (The Case for Christmas):
" Most novae explode once, but a few undergo multiple explosions separated by months or years. This, he said could account for how Matthew says the star appeared, disappeared, and then reappeared and disappeared later."
*Jesus Matches the Sketch of God proof (from The Case for Christmas):
Omniscience- John 16:30
Omnipresence- Matthew 28:20, Matthew 18:20
Eternality- John 1:1
Immutability- Hebrews 13: 8
So I wanted to share some clips from a book I love for Christmas entitled "The Case for Christmas" by Lee Strobel. It is a short book but it is wonderful:) It entails proof for the birth of Christ. So here it is, May each of us remember that the truth of Christmas was lying in a manger, that he walked the Earth sinless and offered redemption, that He died on a cross to save us suffering anguish and the wrath of God for sin, that he rose again defeating death, and that someday we will spend Christmas worshiping him for eternity. Merry Christmas friends.
