Bible Verses: Matthew

This is our final week in the book of Matthew for now, I fully intend to come back and cover more at a later time. Next week we will move on to 1st John. I am still looking for ideas for this series for summer, so please share if you have any. Also, next week the posts regarding Matthew will be removed from the label to make room for 1st John so please see those if you need/want to before that time.

Ok enough announcements although the greatest announcement of all occurred this past Sunday, He lives. We serve the living God who moves, breathes, and works among us. We pray to God and he hears our prayers. We cry out to Him and He hears our cry. We seek Him and He is found. May each of our hearts be broken by His word, and let the holy spirit pour His words of wisdom, conviction, and truth into our lives.

*Bible Verses is not an exhaustive study and each reader should seek the Lord alone for revelation and translation.

Matthew 13: 10-16
"The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" He replied, " The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. This is why I speak to them in parables:

"Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

In them is fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah:
"' You will be hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear."
