This week and next week we will wrap up our study on redemption for now. In October we will move on to the book of James and November will be a special series called Thankful. I know God has great things in store for us through these studies and I pray that we all seek Him more; for our redemption is found in Him alone.

Luke 1:68-75
"Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,
For he has visited and redeemed his people,
And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of His servant David,
As He spoke by the mouth of His holy
prophets,
Who have been since the world began,
That we should be saved from our enemies
And from the hand of all who hate us,
To perform the mercy promised to our fathers
And to remember His holy covenant,
The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:
To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
In holiness and righteousness before Him
all the days of our life."
This leads me to praise the Lord with my heart for the salvation and redemption. This is a powerful passage and states that the Lord has visited us. He has come from where He is to where we are to save us and rescue us. We should acknowledge and praise Him for the salvation He gives that has been planned from the beginning of time. We are delivered and we can serve Him without fear. We do not have to be afraid to come to Him, we can come just as we are. At times it is very easy to bolster around in pride acknowledging our own achievements this sin robs us of our very life source. We need Christ, everyday, every moment, with every breath. We come before Him because we are dying without Him, because we desperately need Him. Redemption is more than a gift; it is an absolute need.
