This week we return to our series on redemption. May the Lord continue to speak to us through His word and may it transform our hearts and lives.

Hebrews 9:11-15
"But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once and for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called my receive the promise of the eternal inheritance."
How did Christ redeem us from sin? He took the sin upon Himself and sacrificed His life to free us, to redeem us, to regenerate our dead hearts. He offered Himself to enable us to stop serving ourselves and worship the One True Living God. How many days a week do we stop what we are doing, clean out our schedules, turn off our devices, and seek His face? We are talking about the One who raised us from death to life! Why is it that we still seem to find pleasure and comfort in the temporary, that we still bear the sins of our flesh, yet each day we have the ability to move forward. We have the great opportunity to confess, repent, walk anew. We have a living redeemer, who for years was anticipated, centuries people waited for Him, is it time dear ones for us to wait for Him to return? Is it time for us to quit living in the shackles of self and seek the one true living God?
