Bible Verses: Redemption

This week we begin a new topic in our Bible Verses series on the subject of Redemption. This series will continue through the month of September. I am looking forward to all that God has in store for us through this study. May He move, challenge, and change us.

*Bible Verses is not an exhaustive study and each reader should seek the Lord alone for revelation and translation.

Luke 21:25-28

"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."

This passage is a great place to start in terms of redemption. When will we be redeemed? How will we be redeemed? Who will redeem us? Clearly in Christ is where our redemption lies, in the middle of the end times, in the midst of chaos, our redemption draws near. While the world begins to fall apart, our journey my dear readers is just beginning, to what does this teach?To what must we know? That we need not cling to anything of this world, or look for anyone or anything else to redeem us, self help books will be no more. We will be redeemed by the One who formed us, by the one who breathes life into us, by the one who orchestrates our heartbeats, and where will we be when it all falls away? In the arms of our Savior.
