Bible Verses: Identity Crisis

Hi all so :) to be back this week with you. Ok this series is going to take a few twists and turns so I hope we can all hold on tight. I hope for this to be as gut wrenching, honest, and even at times perhaps a brutal look at what is wrong with our identity vs. the identity we have in Christ. Please share your own experiences as always in the comments section or on Facebook. Here we go:

This week a slight Introduction:
We are in a crisis. . . what is happening??? Well let us just say that there is a battle for our identity. Between whom . . . us and ??? You can fill in the blank and we will deal with the blank frankly and firmly because the freedom we have in Christ is worth taking a stand for. Our identity in Christ was sealed at the cross, and yet we are distracted, easily entangled, and at times allured away from the absolute and totally fulfilling identity we have in Him. So we will retrieve our identity. . . or this is the prayer but first we must all mire through some decay, muck, and sin that have led us to this point.  My earnest prayer is that at the end of this series we all get honest with God and ourselves, that we dig deep to uncover any hidden sin or lack of trust or other issue that we may discover along the road, and that we cling to the identity we have in Christ with everything we have.
