Bible Verses: Prayer (End of the Series Post)

Bible verses will be moving on next week to a new topic: marriage. I am hoping to deeply probe this topic and am praying of ways to present it and help all of us to be deeply moved by it. That being said, if you have any ideas or if you are willing to share your own advice/marriage story please comment here or send me a message. I would love to have some guest writers for this. The topic of marriage will be covered over April and May. I am hoping this will give us the opportunity to really get into this topic. Here is the tentative summer schedule for this series, I hope you all will participate:)

April-May: Marriage
June: Focus (Christian Ministries in Need)
July-August: Special Focus: David Platt and Francis Chan. . . The Church Redefined!!

Ok now for the final post in this series, I hope this series has encouraged you all to seek the Lord in prayer as it has done for myself. I pray He continues to stir our hearts and move us closer to Him. May our prayer blankets grow and may they cover us not just in times of rain but in times of sunlight as well. May it cover those we love, May it cover the church as a whole, May it cover the world with the love, knowledge, and peace of Christ that is everlasting. . .

The following was found at: http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/10-awesome-bible-verses-about-the-power-of-prayer/

Philipians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge to Satan-John Bunyan

Matthew 7:7
"Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

"Don't pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord a keep it. A man is powerful on his knees." Corrie Ten Boom

"It is because of the hasty and superficial conversation with God that the sense of sin is so weak and no motives have power to help you hate and flee from sin as you should." A.W. Tozer

May God move in our lives and hearts, May our prayers be relevant, real, and deep, may we fall in His grace, be swept away in His majesty, and never return the same.
