Bible Verses: Changes and Prayers

This series will turn over a new leaf starting in September. For this month we will continue this time with weekly prayer requests. In September we will begin a new series that will carry us into November about Biblical Marriage. I hope to pull in outside resources to enhance the series and gain more credibility to the discussion. I am looking forward to all God has in store for us.

This week: Prayer Focus: Teachers and Students

Many students head back to school this week and this month, and it is crucial that we shower our teachers and students with prayer. Our schools are battle grounds of the faith and these students have never been under more peer pressure than in recent years. Teachers have the great task of helping these students not only academically but also emotionally and developmentally which is an enormously large task. So let us get to it, and cover them in prayer and lift them with encouragement.

Ideas:
Send a welcome back card, flower, or small gift to your child's teacher, it is their first day of school too. 

Make your child a special first day of school breakfast, take a picture to record the day, and let them choose the radio station/songs to listen to on the way there. Before they leave the car pray for them and their day and also pray for their teacher and peers. 

Send your child to school with a lunchbox full of love, handcraft a heart sandwich and include a few verses to encourage and inspire them. 

Prayer walk around or Prayer drive around a school in your neighbor hood, pray for the teachers, students, parents.
